UNI EN ISO 14001
TheUNI EN ISO 14001 is a voluntary international standard that specifies the requirements for an Environmental Management System (EMS). Environmental management is the transition from only respect for the law to a management of activities aimed at preventing pollution and improve the overall environmental performance.
The factory, surrounded by a Natural Park (Park Reventino) decided to adopt now a management system complies with the Standard and, in 2005, has been certified by a prestigious International Authority, recognized and accredited. The adoption and subsequent certification of the Environmental Management System has improved the efficiency of production processes and related services, along with the environmental performance; to control and monitor the legislative requirements; to improve the environmental performance; satisfying customers and Stakeholders.
The Environmental Management System (EMS) defined by ISO 14001, is based on the commitment of the Company Management to:
- legislative compliance
- continuous improvement
- pollution prevention
In order to maintain the Environmental Management System, the Camillo Sirianni S.a.s performs Environmental Analysis in order to identify the significant environmental aspects.
On the basis of environmental aspects, regulatory requirements and company policy, the Management designs suitable Environmental Programs and interventions for improvement.
Particular attention is paid to the definition of clear tasks, activities and use of tools, resources and interactions between the business functions in the control and conduct of activities in compliance with the Environmental Management System and in line with the direction targets.
